Although I only worked there for about 4 years the place hold a lifetime of memories for me and most of the people that mean the most to me. The place where I met the man I married, my best friend Steph, my Melissa, Brenda & Lydia. I spent countless, endless nights sitting at H3 smoking cigarette after cigarette waiting for Steph or Terry to get off work. Some of the best people I have ever met I met there. Perkins Family Restaurant & Bakery in Dubois PA has burned to the ground. And although I know that Doug (the owner) will have a new one built by summer time the fact that it's gone makes me sadder than I expected. I really did love that place and I made it a point to go there as many times as I could every time we went home. Some of the people that worked there have worked there 10, 15, 20 years. I can't stop thinking about them. Lisa, Joe, Debbie, Melis. Lisa & Joe are married and they both worked there! What are they going to do while the new store is being built. I like to think that it could be a nice vacation for them, but who the hell can afford not to work right now?
I can believe its gone.

Our Vacation is a gogo!
Originally we were going to go to Hawaii for our 10 year anniversary, but we decided to put that trip on hold for a few more years. Sorry Lydia. We want to have enough money saved that an expensive trip like that won't put us in the poor house. Well our alternative plan is a road trip! We are going to drive down the west coast. Were going to start in San Diego and make our way home with a few stops along the way. The San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios, The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, The Winchester Mystery House, The Redwood Forest and any thing else we have time for. We may not hit them all but that's fine. Can't wait till June 20!

More Home Improvements
With spring upon us we are doing house/yard work. We want to paint the house and we have finally decided on a color we like better than the color it is. Brown is nice but we want something more. Here's how the house looks now:
Here's the color were going for:
We're going to get a new front door with a nice window and a glass screen door. I hate the white door!! Terry just put up the flower boxes. I love them so much! I've always wanted flower boxes. The little area in front of the window will be worked on as soon as it's not raining or we're not sick. The chick that lived here before us had no idea how to garden. There was a jumbled mess in that spot. Soon it will be awesome!
Here's my girl with her snowhawk! I couldn't not show ya'll this picture!

It's not my fault!
I think the worst part of getting Diabetes was that I had brought it on myself. Bad eating, lack of exercise yadda yadda yadda. Turns out I don't have Type 2 I have Type 1 which is cause by viruses or auto-immune problems. It comes on very quickly and occurs in people below age 40. Normally. I may now have to take insulin but I'm not sure yet. I have a doc app on Monday. Lets see how this plays out!
Stay tuned!
